Rundown:
*External and internal deep clean (Ballplayers Balm Cleaner and PH neutral water)
*3 Stage conditioning (Ballplayers Balm Conditioner)
*Extracted all palm adhesive inside of palm of mitt and replaced with a thin coating of oven-heated glove grease (GluvLuv)
*3.5/16" lace dyed and skived to appropriate gauge. 1/4" whole lace used in web (Flatbill)
*All lace sent through a prestressing process and raw sides of lace sealed in beeswax
*X-pattern in web changed to Double I-Bar
*Reduced unnecessary terminal points in lacing system which contributed to lace in mitt becoming far too loose.
Multiple factors in mitt lead to laces stretching. Beyond inefficient lace patterns, stock lace itself was oddly elastic or spongy which was primary cause of laces stretching out so quickly. Quality of replacement lace used in hand with prestressing process directly addresses that. Leather of mitt is very soft for the purpose of better manipulating or 'shaping' the mitt when catching a ball. That give in the leather is also a contributor toward laces stretching. Addressed that aspect by lacing the mitt towards the tighter end of lace tensions which will allow it to relax into a setting that will still hold firm instead of wet spaghetti of original lace.
New Double I-Bar web system will also go a very long way in maintaining pocket shape. Keep in mind it will take a bit of breaking in. Will seem overly stiff at first and ball may feel like it's popping out when it strikes pocket. That will relax as you use it and should not be a lingering issue.
If there's any lace issue you might have, just let me know and I'll be glad to replace or adjust at no cost. 90 day warrantee on that. Within realm of adjustments would also be re-doing the web system if for some reason the double I-Bar isn't working out for you.
